Mike Magee found himself in deft position in the 29th minute to volley home a Sean Franklin cross that cut the Galaxy’s shortfall to one goal.  Sean Franklin got the ball on an overlapping run around Donovan on the accurately flank.  Toronto FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei got his fingertips on the cantankerous, but Magee put the ball in the back of the net. 

The Galaxy seemed a little out of sorts at times, as they were not crisp in their itch and often relied on long balls in order to generate offense.  They did boss possess oneself of, which is not something teams normally do on the road, but oftentimes did not combine well in the offensive half.  That has to do with many players who started missing parts of preseason.  Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane did not run around a single game with the club in preseason.  Edson Buddle and Juninho both rejoined the brotherhood midway through preseason training.  The team also elected to start some of the players who were fighting for roster spots in some of the games.  All of this combined to cheap that a lot of the Galaxy’s normal first team players did not get a chance to train together in preseason.  It meant that the timing was a petty off, resulting in seven offside calls against the Galaxy.
