 The US superintendence don't put a dime into training athletes...well maybe at the top they do. But those athletes have to start somewhere, and most often they start with the parents footing the bill. Gymnasts' parents pay for their kids to go to these gyms, there is no command

Why don't UK universities have a intercollegiate athletic system like American universities?

 America is big on intercollegiate sports like football, basketball, baseball, etc. It is a jumbo part of the university experience for students. Why don't UK universities have anything similar to that?

Presumptuous Jordan Dressler of Columbia College and guard Rustin Dowd of MidAmerica Nazarene received NAIA All-American honors on Tuesday unendingly.</p><p>Dressler, a 6-8 junior from Columbia, was selected to the second group, while Dowd, a 5-11 junior from Olathe, was chosen for the third team.</p><p>Dressler averaged 15.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for Columbia, which reached the other round of the NAIA tournament.
