What to do with a 5 years old turtle who has a hook stuck deep in its mouth?

 I caught a turtle with my fishing rod the other day. The turtle is around 5 years old and diameter about the take the measure of of a volleyball. The problem - my large hook is still stuck deep in the lips of this turtle. The hook is half the size of a ping pong ball in thoroughly.

 Fishing hooks are made to decay after time - just leave it alone. You will do more damage trying to exterminate it. Personally when I catch a turtle in my pond I want it perished anyway.
